Middle child to the Quad Beef and Quad Hover, the Quad Veal is very simply in between the two.
Built with smaller and lighter weight swimbaits, glidebaits and reaction baits in mind that need a little more freedom to swim, the Quad Veal is still very robust, but the central leader is built on much lighter and more limber 50# Seaguar Blue Label Flourocarbon, and dressed with its own bait-ball comprised of size 3 premium willow leaf blades (arms are still the typical 150# material, for stiffness). The weakest link in this rig is the 67# VMC Duo Lock Snap. Line tie is a 80# VMC Rolling Swivel.
As with all models in our Quad Series collection, our proprietary "Hub and Spoke Armature" assembly (patent pending), allows for transfer of kinetic energy from the rod tip THROUGH the rig and directly to your bait at the rear, for ultimate control while hovering, twitching or imparting direct feedback and cadence to your retrieve.
Attached with our hand-made clevis style swivels for increased water displacement, the blades will spin at the slowest of speeds and flutter like crazy when twitched or paused.
Pair this rig up with your favorite swimbait or glidebait bait and watch your heavily pressured and conditioned fish COME UNGLUED, as they bear witness to a much smaller predator who dares to wander into THEIR territory to feed on THEIR prey.
See pictures for a tuning suggestion, in situations where you want to manipulate the sinking rate of your rig, to match a bait pairing or explore different depths. A simple tiny duolock snap mounted on a single leg loop, in FRONT of the blade, so you may hang a dropshot weight of your choice. We recommend round tungsten.
